VPN per tab

# A VPN per tab: a different country in every tab.

## The short answer

ZoneBlade's Each tab mode gives each Chrome tab group its own country. Name a group “DE Germany” and every tab in it browses from Germany; name another “JP Japan” and those tabs browse from Japan. Each country keeps its own cookies and sign-ins, so you can open the same site in several countries side by side. Tabs without a country connect as usual. On Free one tab at a time can have its own country; Premium allows any number.

## How to do it

1. 1 Switch ZoneBlade to Each tab Open ZoneBlade from the toolbar and choose Each tab instead of Whole browser.
2. 2 Make a tab group for a country Right-click a tab, add it to a new group, and name the group with a country code and name, like “DE Germany”.
3. 3 Browse Every tab in that group now browses from Germany. Add a “US United States” group to see the same site from the US next to it.

## Why per tab, not per browser

A normal VPN changes the country for everything at once, so comparing two countries means switching back and forth, and the site remembers you between switches.

Per tab, the countries sit side by side. One tab shows a shop in the UK, the next shows it in the US, and neither sees the other's cookies, basket or sign-in.

## What other VPNs offer

Most VPN extensions, including NordVPN, Surfshark, Proton VPN and CyberGhost, put the whole browser in one country. ExpressVPN can route chosen websites through chosen countries, and PureVPN sells a separate add-on that does the same for the US and the UK, but neither gives two tabs of the same site different countries. Each comparison page has the sources.

## Free and Premium

On Free, one tab at a time can have its own country, from 6 countries, alongside your normal tabs. Premium allows any number of country tabs in all 180 countries.

## Good to know

- It works with Chrome's and Edge's tab groups; tabs outside a country group connect as usual.
- It's for browsing and comparing. Signing in to the same account from two countries at once can trip a site's security checks.

## Questions

Can a VPN use a different country in each tab?

Most can't: they change the whole browser. ZoneBlade's Each tab mode gives each tab group its own country, with its own cookies.

Do tabs in different countries share cookies?

No. Each country keeps its own cookies and sign-ins, so the same site can be open in two countries without one seeing the other.

Is a VPN per tab free?

One country tab at a time is free on ZoneBlade, in 6 countries. Premium allows any number, in 180 countries.
