Terms

About these terms

These terms are between you and Scoritz Limited (“we”), which runs ZoneBlade. They cover the ZoneBlade browser extension, this website and the Premium subscription. Using ZoneBlade means you accept them. ZoneBlade is for personal use.

How we handle your information is on the privacy page.

What ZoneBlade is

  • ZoneBlade is a VPN for your browser. Sites you visit see an address in the country you choose, and your connection to ZoneBlade is encrypted. It covers the browser it's installed in, not other apps.
  • Free costs nothing and needs no account. Premium is a paid subscription with more countries and more tabs in their own countries. What each includes is on the Premium page.
  • Free is unlimited for normal browsing. To keep it fair for everyone, very heavy use from one internet connection or network is slowed, and then paused until the next day or month.
  • We work to keep ZoneBlade running and fast, but we can't promise it will always be available, that every country will always be offered, or that every site will accept it. Some sites block VPNs.

Accounts

  • When you set ZoneBlade up you agree to these terms, and a quick check confirms you're a person.
  • An account is optional on Free and needed for Premium. You sign in with a link we email you, so keep your email account secure.
  • An account is for one person. It can have up to 10 browsers signed in at once. Don't share, sell or lend your account.
  • You can sign browsers out, or delete your account, at any time on your account page.

Using ZoneBlade properly

Don't use ZoneBlade to:

  • break the law, or help anyone else break it;
  • access, store or share child sexual abuse material, or anything else that is illegal;
  • attack, scan, flood or break into other systems, send spam, or commit fraud;
  • infringe other people's rights, including copyright;
  • resell or share access, run automated tools or bots through it, or use it in ways that put an unfair load on the service.

If you do, we can slow, suspend or close your access, with or without notice, and with no refund. A suspension can cover a browser, an account, an internet address or a network. Our systems also suspend a browser for a day on their own when they see clear signs of abuse, such as scanning or attacks; if you think that was a mistake, email support@zoneblade.com. Report abuse to abuse@zoneblade.com. How we handle reports and legal requests is on the abuse and legal requests page.

Buying Premium

  • Premium is paid monthly or yearly, in advance. The price, including VAT, is shown before you pay. Payments are handled by our payment provider; we never see your card number.
  • Premium starts as soon as you pay, because you ask it to, and renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. We take each renewal payment from the card you gave.
  • If a renewal payment fails, we try again over the next few days. If it still doesn't go through, Premium ends and your account goes back to Free.
  • You can switch between monthly and yearly on your account page. Switching to yearly starts at once: you pay for the year, less the unused part of the month you've paid for. Switching to monthly starts when your paid year ends.
  • If we change the price, we'll email you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and it only applies from your next renewal after that. You can cancel before then.

Cancelling and refunds

  • Cancel any time on your account page (Manage subscription). Premium keeps working until the end of the month or year you've paid for, then your account goes back to Free. Nothing more is charged.
  • Changed your mind? Within 14 days of buying Premium you can cancel on your account page and get back the part of your payment you haven't used. Premium ends straight away. Because Premium starts as soon as you pay, as you asked, the days you used are paid for. This is your legal right to cancel; if anything stops you using the button, email support@zoneblade.com.
  • Apart from that, we don't refund part-used months or years, except where the law requires us to, for example if ZoneBlade doesn't work as described. Your legal rights as a consumer aren't affected by anything in these terms.
  • Deleting your account ends Premium straight away. If a payment is disputed with your bank, or flagged as fraud, Premium ends at once.

If we stop or change ZoneBlade

We may change what ZoneBlade offers, for example the countries available. If a change makes Premium clearly worse for you, you can cancel and we'll refund the unused part of your paid period. If we stop offering Premium, we'll tell you first and refund any unused part of your paid period.

We may update these terms. If a change matters to you, we'll tell you by email or on this website before it applies, and you can cancel if you don't accept it.

Our responsibility to you

  • Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't let us limit.
  • ZoneBlade is for personal use, so we aren't responsible for business losses such as lost profits or lost opportunities.
  • Otherwise, our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem arose.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear disputes. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also use your local courts.
